Whentheworldclosed.com (the site) is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein (the “Terms). Your use of the site constitutes your agreement to all such Terms. Please read these terms carefully, and keep a copy of them for your reference.

The site is a blog and an e-commerce site. We promote educational content and resources. We sell the book When the World Closed in various forms. We also sell the art and prints from this book. All of this content is copyright to E.E. Thorgaard and/or J. Shapiro.

All artwork on the site, even original art that is sold in its current form, is owned by the Illustrator and is NOT available for duplication, distribution, or alteration. The rights to images and copyrighted materials (including book and blog posts) remain with the original creators - the author and illustrator. Owning a piece of original art does not give you the right to alter the art, duplicate the art, or use it for other stories. The Illustrator also holds the right to continue all use of and sale of the art in print or story-book form, even when original art is sold. The sale of the original art is for individual use only. All use of art or story without the legal, written consent of the author and illustrator is prohibited.

Your use of the site is subject to our privacy policy.

Visiting the site or emailing any of our included email addresses constitutes electronic communications. You consent to receive electronic communications and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that we provide to you electronically, via email and on the site, satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

The site does not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of 13. If you are under 18, you may use the site only with permission of a parent or guardian.

If you are unsatisfied with any part of your purchase, please contact me personally (whentheworldclosed@gmail.com) so that I can help make it right as best I can. I do not guarantee full refunds. Any refunds will require a return of all products in new condition, shipping will not be covered in returns.

Thorgaard, J. Shapiro or any of its suppliers have been advised of the possibility of damages. Because some states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to you. If you are dissatisfied with any portion of the site, or with any of these terms of use, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using the site.

We reserve the right at our sole discretion to terminate your access to hte site and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice. Use of the site is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms including without limitation this section.
